  Policy Briefing Series

The Scottish Social Enterprise Coalition (SSEC) developed a series of policy briefings as part of EQUAL Social Economy Scotland (SES)’s Mainstreaming programme.

The aim of these briefings is to positively influence policy development for the social economy in Scotland.

The briefings follow the thematic groupings of pilot activity carried out through SES.  These are Business Development, Quality and Impact, Partnership and Procurement, Access to Finance, and Raising the Profile.  These themes have a natural correlation with the strategic objectives of the Social Enterprise Strategy.

The briefings draw on elements of SES pilot activity where appropriate as well as bringing in other external research evidence.  They also draw on the expertise of those involved in pilots and thematic boards as a resource for developing.
